Mission Statement
The Washington-Baltimore Pagan Clergy Association seeks to meet the mutual needs of Pagan clergy within the jurisdictions of the District of Columbia, Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Southern Pennsylvania by:

  • creating and sharing religious, professional, and legal information;
  • meeting on a regular basis for continuing education;
  • providing a peer support network;
  • honoring our differences while expanding our areas of commonality;
  • identifying and promoting professional ethical standards; and
  • establishing working relationships with other professional and faith communities.

So, who are we thinking of when we say “pagan clergy?”
We are not in the business of determining who is and is not clergy.  We focus more on the functions that generally fall into the category of “clergy,” including but not limited to leading worship rites, spiritual counseling, hospital visits, performing rites of passage, teaching, and generally being available for the community. Pretty much, if you act in such a capacity, we would consider you “clergy.”

What exactly does this have to do with you?
We wholeheartedly invite and welcome all who consider themselves pagan clergy, want to have a stake in the creation of such a resource or network, and are willing to contribute in a constructive manner to join us and become a member.

We look forward to working with the community to serve the community.
